Ashlen was introduced to yoga after undergoing an ACL reconstructive surgery, and found that yoga was the best form of physical therapy. After discovering yoga to be extremely beneficial for mental, physical, and emotional health, she decided to become a certified yoga instructor at the age of 19. She completed her 200 hour Vinyasa/Hatha training at Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja, Mexico. She is also certified in Restorative yoga, and completed a 21 hour training at Yoga Garden in San Francisco. She has been practicing for 5 years, and teaching for 3.5 years.
